Chandrasekhar Bhaskar Bhave is an Indian Financial Regulator.

Chandrashekhar Bhave was the Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), India’s capital markets regulator from 2008 to 2011. He was also the chairperson of the Asia-Pacific regional committee and a member of the Technical and the Executive Committees of the IOSCO, over this period.
He started his career in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in 1975. He was the Collector in Nanded and worked in the Finance and Industries departments of the Government of Maharashtra and the Petroleum Ministry of the Government of India. He then worked in SEBI as a Senior Executive Director from 1992–1996, helping create the regulatory infrastructure for Indian capital markets.
He quit the IAS to set up the National Securities Depository (NSDL) in 1996 and was its Chairman and Managing Director from 1996 to 2008. CMD of National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL). He is also Member of the Government’s technology advisory group, TAGUP.

Nilesh Sathe is an Insurance Regulator.

Mr. Nilesh Sathe is Whole time Member on the Board of Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority(IRDI) from July 2015. Before joining IRDAI, he was CEO and Director of LIC Nomura Mutual Fund AMC from Apr 2011-Jun 2015. He headed the Northern Zone of LIC of India as Zonal Manager, in-charge of Marketing and Administration of seven states and one Union Territory in the North spreading from J&K to Rajasthan. He held various positions in LIC of India, as Executive Director of a Marketing Channel, Chief (Pension & Group Schemes Dept.) and Sr. Divisional Manager of two prestigious Divisions of Mumbai. He has a rich experience of over 3 decades in the Banking, Insurance & Mutual Fund Industry. Mr. Sathe enjoys classical, vocal and instrumental music and associates with Marathi theatre.

Ketan Mulmuley is a professor at the Department of Computer Science in the

University of Chicago, and sometime a visiting professor at IIT Bombay. He specialises in theoretical computer science, especially computational complexity theory, and in recent years has been working on "geometric complexity theory". His work on 'geometric complexity theory', an approach to the P versus NP problem through the techniques of algebraic geometry has been widely recognized. Prof. Ketan Mulmuley did his B.Tech. from IIT Bombay and earned his PhD in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University in 1985. He is a recipient of Miller Research fellowship at the University of California, Berkeley (1985-1987). He is also the winner of Guggenheim Fellowship for the year 1999-2000. Prof. Mulmuley takes keen interest in Dhrupad in Hindustani Classical music and hiking.

Dr. Ravindra hastak is a distinguished scientist at DRDO.

He was director of Naval Materials Research Laboratory. Currently he is working as Dr.Raja Ramanna Distinguished Fellow at Hydrabad. He was involved in Pruthvi Missile project from concept to production. Similarly he played important role in Dhanush & Agani missiles project from concept to production. He is known for his path breaking research in submarine propulsion.
He did his B.Tech. from LIT, M.Tech. from IIT Mumbai and Ph.D. from DIT Pune.

He is recipient of “Swatantryaveer Sawarkar Science award”.

Madhav Agasti Once upon a time Bollywood needed a costume designer.

The rest is history.Madhav Agasti was fascinated with clothes, styles and cuts. As a schoolboy he would watch the local tailors at Nagpur and replicate their cuts on paper.Today he is a celebrity tailor. He has been associated with nearly 400 films, including Amrish Puri’s costume for his legendary character role of Mogambo in the blockbuster Mr India. He has dressed up almost all Bollywood’s biggest names. His clientele over the years includes leading political heavyweights, sportsmen. He has even designed for the boxing legend Muhammad Ali.
His passion, patience and eye for perfection have made him the undisputed master of customized menswear, so much so that he got an opportunity to stitch a bandhgala and a pair of trousers for Ram Nath Kovind, the current President of India.

Yashodhan Parande He joined the Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Central Excise)

in 1975 and has held various positions in the department, including those of Commissioner of Customs and Commissioner of Central Excise at Mumbai. During his tenure as Additional Director General and subsequently as Director General of Systems for the Central Board of Excise and Customs, he oversaw the implementation of CBEC’s IT Consolidation project, which involved a complete transformation of the ICT platform of the department and the launch new/upgraded software applications. He also led the team that developed and implemented the Risk Management System which won the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration in 2007. He was appointed as Member, Central Board of Excise and Customs in 2009 and held the charge of Member (Budget & Computerization). Prior to his present appointment as Member of the Tax Administration Reform Commission, he was Member of the Authority for Advance Rulings (Customs, C. Excise and Service Tax). Mr. Parande is the recipient of the Presidential Award of Certificate of Appreciation Mr. Yashodhan Parande is Senior Advisor with Deloitte Haskins and Sells LLP.

AIR MARSHAL PP KHANDEKAR AVSM (RETD) A graduate of VNIT Nagpur,

Air Marshal joined 12th Aeronautical Engineering Course in Jul 1977 at Air Force Technical College Jalahalli Bengaluru. He has worked on SU-7, MiG-23 BN and MiG-27 aircraft. He is Post Graduate in Industrial Engineering from NITIE and is alumnus of DSSC Wellington. He is Fellow of AeSI (2010), IETE (2015) and IIIE (2017) and member of CSI, CENJOWS and USI. In 2016, he was conferred with Distinguished NITIE Alumni Award at NITIE.He has held many important staff and command appointments and include Station Commander Air Force Station High Grounds as Group Captain, Air Officer Commanding Air Force Station Kanpur as Air Commodore and Commandant and Director of MILIT then a DRDO Lab as Air Vice Marshal. The Air Marshal has been Senior Maintenance Staff Officer of Central Air Command Allahabad, Maintenance Command Nagpur and has officiated as AOC-in-C here for three months. He was Director General (Systems) before taking over as Air Officer in charge Maintenance (i.e. Engineering and Logistics) at Air Headquarters. He had a unique honour of teneting four out of possible five appointments an Air Marshal of AE branch can. He was team leader for evaluation of Laser Ranging & Marked Target Seeker (LRMTS) for Jaguar and MiG-27 aircraft and had been to France and Israel apart from Oman and Srilanka.He has presented papers in National level Seminars on varied topics. He started many magazines in his tenures at various institute. He is expert member on MSME committee under Secretary and is adjunct faculty on National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS), Bengaluru.
For his exceptional service of high order, the officer was awarded Ati Vishisht Seva Medal on 26 Jan 2017 by the president of India. He is an avid writer and his articles are regularly published in defence related journals.

Loksarang Hardas He did his Masters in 1985 in USA.

While doing his Masters in New York he also dabbled with creating Dermatological products for certain doctors in the New York area and earned a handsome income for a college student. After completing his Masters in 1985, he had a modest beginning by manufacturing dermatological products. In 1986 a chance meeting with Mr. Dave Gold, the pioneer of the Dollar Stores industry inspired him to make household cleaning products for the Dollar Store industry under the Brand name “LA’s Totally Awesome” The company is manufacturing at 3 different locations across the country with over 4.5 million square feet with over 450 employees. Awesome is one of the largest privately owned companies in the US, in the Dollar Store industry feeding the requirements for all the major dollar stores in the household cleaning products. LD is also very active in the community. He built Siddhivinayak temple in Bay area in honour of his father. He also conducts music concerts regularly at the temple, inviting renowned artists from India. He also started US Military Veterans Centre catering to about 2500 veterans.

Dr. Sandhya Joshi She stood first in order of merit in SSC in Vidarbha Board in 1970.

She did her M.B.B.S. in 1976 & M.D. (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) in 1980 from Govt Medical College, Nagpur. She joined as a lecturer in the same department after M.D. However her intense desire to serve people from small places rather than big cities took her to Akola. She also worked at District Hospital for Women as a Class I Medical Officer. Driven by passion to improve health care of women in general and pregnant women in particular she visited all the hospitals and PHCs of the district and created awareness regarding timely reference of pregnant women for delivery to avoid complications. She worked on creating health awareness in society on various platforms regarding family planning, safe motherhood, drive against selective female feticide. It has been a mission for Women’s health from womb to tomb. She is a Fellow of Indian College of Maternal and Child health, Kolkata (FICMCH). She started a Diploma course in the hospital with this institute. She also worked as Associate Professor and established the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Govt. Medical College, Akola.
She actively promoted academic and social activities by organizing seminars, workshops and conferences at Akola Obstetrics and Gynaecology Society so much so that the society in appreciation of her contributions instituted an award in her name for outstanding Obstetrician & Gynaecologist of the year.

Dr. Uday Bodhankar Loss of his beloved sister due to chronic liver disease motivated him to become doctor.

He did M.B.B.S. & M.D.(Paediatrics) from Govt Medical College, Nagpur & DCH from Mumbai. He worked as Assistant Professor in paediatrics in GMC for 8 years and started practice in 1988. He was the youngest national president of paediatric association of India in 93. He held various important posts in National and international medical organisations and received many awards for welfare of underprivileged children. At present he is International President of Commonwealth Association for health and disability UK, covering 54 commonwealth countries. He had a rebirth from pulmonary embolism and multiple cardiac arrests in 2009 and with grace of almighty and efforts of doctors. He is actively working for the welfare of underprivileged and disability kids with the help of various NGOS.

Mr. K. G. (Shyam) Parande Shri Shyam Parande, a civil engineer by profession, was born and brought up in Nagpur.

Inspired by Swami Vivekanada's call "Nara Sewa is Narayana Sewa", he has dedicated his life in the service of the needy. He is a community leader and social worker. Post 1977 deadly cyclone in Andhra Pradesh that devastated lives of millions, he personally supervised rehabilitation work and he was responsible for construction of hundreds of houses in 5 villages in coastal Andhra. He was also actively involved in hundreds of Sewa Bharati service projects in Andhra Pradesh for more than 17 years. Presently, he shoulders the responsibility of International Coordinator and Secretary for Sewa International, and leads the work of thousands of volunteers and numerous service activities in more than 20 countries including Europe, South East Asia and Americas.
He is also actively involved in NRI and PIO related activities and is presently working for Antar Rashtriya Sahyog Parishad, (Indian Council for International Co-operation) which has been spearheading the Pravasi Bharatiya activity since last 4 decades, in the capacity of Secretary General.

Gr. Captain Manisha Ksheersagar Misra Group Captain Manisha is the first woman from Nagpur to join the elite Indian Armed Forces.

She was commissioned into the Indian Air Force on 18 Jun 1994 in the Administrative Branch in the rank of Pilot Officer. She is an alumnus of prestigious Air Force Academy, Hyderabad where she underwent rigorous military training for one year. She is also an alumnus of prestigious Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. Over a span of 23 years of illustrious service, she has held various coveted appointments.She was promoted to the rank of Group Captain in year 2016. She holds an honour to be the only second lady officer to be promoted to the rank of Group Captain. Currently she is holding a coveted appointment of Principal, Sainik School Satara, first ever Sainik School in India. She holds the honour of being the first lady to take over as Principal of the prestigious Sainik School Satara since its inception in year 1961.
She is a decorated officer and has received various awards for her exceptional professionalism and distinguished service.
